Port Macquarie Astronomical Association has several membership types.

ORDINARY MEMBERSHIP

Active member

Pays the annual fee for ordinary membership

• are over the age of 18 years
• are entitled to vote
• are entitled to serve on the committee

YOUTH MEMBERSHIP

A person under 18 years of age

Pays the annual fee for Youth Membership

• is not entitled to vote except in relation to matters which relate solely to youth members

DONOR MEMBERSHIP

Are not active members of the Association

Pay the annual fee for Donor Members

• are not eligible to serve on the Committee
• are entitled to vote

TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIP (Special Type not availble to the public)

Are members for less than the full membership year

Pay the fee as set by the Committee at a Committee meeting

• are members for the specific purpose and time period as set by the Committee at a Committee meeting
• are not entitled to vote
• are not eligible to serve on the Committee

LIFE MEMBERSHIP (Special Type not availble to the public)

Have been recommended for life membership by the committee

• have been granted life membership by a majority of members present at the AGM or Special General Meeting
• are entitled to vote
• are entitled to serve on the committee
• do not pay an annual membership fee
